Money gap. This week's you-ain't-the-incumbent award goes to Peter Hort, a Republican running against Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler for his Manhattan/Brooklyn district.
Incumbent Nadler has raised $718,264, and about 40 percent of that comes from individual contributors, according to campaign records. The rest comes from political action committees, unions and other special interest groups.
Challenger Hort has raised $129,526 and 98 percent of it is from individuals.
